Frequently Asked Questions
The questions our users ask us the most, with their answers.
What is Glik and who lends me the money?
Glik is a platform that helps you access formal credit, even if you have no credit history or the traditional system has closed its doors on you. Instead of looking only at a score, we evaluate you as a person: your behavior, your transactions and the story you tell us.
Glik does not lend the money directly. Based on our evaluation, we connect you with whoever can lend to you:
- Individuals (Glikers): people who lend their own funds through the platform (peer-to-peer loans).
- Partner institutions: entities such as fintechs, cooperatives or banks that rely on our analysis to offer you credit or other products.
Today Glik is available in Colombia. For peer-to-peer loans you need an account with our partner FinZi.
How much does a loan cost?
This answer applies to peer-to-peer (P2P) loans. For loans with our partner institutions, the institution sets its own rates and must be clear with the user about them.
Before accepting a peer-to-peer loan, you will see on the platform a summary with all its conditions and costs, so you can decide with full information. That summary includes:
- Interest: depends on your profile and never exceeds the maximum legal rate in force.
- Brokerage service (Servicio de Corretaje): for connecting you with whoever lends to you. It is disclosed before you accept, with VAT included.
- Guarantee: the loan is backed by a guarantor (currently Findorse). Its cost also appears in the summary.
In addition, you can pay off your loan early with no penalty: you only pay the interest accrued up to the day of payment.
If you use your FinZi account to pay, additional benefits may apply, which are lost if the loan becomes past due.
Does Glik help me build a credit history? Will I be reported to credit bureaus?
Every time you pay on time, your profile and your level within Glik improve, which opens the door to more and better credit opportunities.
About credit bureaus:
- Glik does not report to credit bureaus.
- In peer-to-peer loans, if a loan becomes past due, the guarantor (Findorse) may report it as an independent entity, always with prior notice of at least 20 days, so you have time to catch up. Findorse only takes part in this type of loan; for partner-institution loans, each institution manages its own guarantee fund.
- If your application is rejected in our checks, that does not generate any negative report.
How do I install the Glik app?
For now, Glik works as a web app (PWA) that you can install directly from your phone's browser:
- Go to glikapp.com from your phone.
- Open the browser menu and choose "Add to Home Screen" (or "Install app").
- Done: you will have the Glik icon on your phone like any other app.
How do I pay my loan? I get an error when I try to pay
How you pay depends on the status of your loan:
If you are up to date: from your FinZi app
- Log in to your FinZi app with your usual credentials.
- Go to the "Créditos" section.
- Look for Glik and log in with your Glik username and password.
- Open your loan details, tap the green "Devolver con Wallet" button and then "Devolver con FinZi".
- Before paying, make sure you have the full installment amount available in FinZi.
If you are up to date and your loan is peer-to-peer: from the Glik app
- Go to glikapp.com and log in.
- Choose to pay with your linked FinZi account.
- Make sure you have the full installment amount available in FinZi.
If your loan is past due: from the loan details in the app
If you have overdue installments with Glik, open the details of your past-due loan in the app: the option to pay through Mercado Pago will appear there.
If your debt has moved to the guarantee fund (peer-to-peer loans): on the Findorse portal
When the obligation is already handled by the guarantee fund (Findorse), you pay them directly:
- Go to findorse.co and select "Portal Personas".
- Enter your ID number (cédula).
- Enter your obligation number (you can find it in your Glik app).
If you see an error or a "maintenance" notice: close the app completely, open it again and try once more. If the error continues, contact support with a screenshot of the message and we will look into your case. In many cases the error comes from the linked FinZi account, so it is also worth checking that your FinZi is active and not blocked.
Why can't I link my Nequi, Claro Pay or other bank account?
For peer-to-peer loans, the only account you can link to receive and pay is FinZi. That is why, if you try to add Nequi, Claro Pay or another provider for this type of loan, the app will not let you. If you don't have FinZi yet, you need to create it first and then link it to Glik.
If your loan comes from one of our partner institutions, the account options may be different; we will show them to you during your application.
Our partner FinZi is working to enable Bre-B, which in the future would let you use your keys with any financial institution. We will let you know through our official channels when it is available.
Important: for peer-to-peer loans, the mobile number registered in FinZi and in Glik must be exactly the same. If they are different, linking and disbursements may fail.
I have a pre-approved limit (or I requested a loan) and it was not disbursed / I can't withdraw
This answer applies to peer-to-peer loans. If your loan is with one of our partner institutions, the institution controls the entire disbursement flow, so you should check with them directly.
For peer-to-peer loans, the most common causes are:
- The mobile number doesn't match between Glik and FinZi. Update it so it is the same in both accounts and try again.
- We need to verify your identity. In some cases our support team will email you for an additional verification. Complete it and let us know by replying to that email so we can resume your request.
- Your FinZi account has an issue (block or intermittent service). Log in to FinZi and check that it works normally.
Keep in mind that a pre-approved limit does not guarantee disbursement: every request goes through security checks and our evaluation before it is approved. If you reviewed these points and the problem continues, contact support with the email or ID number you registered with.
I can't verify my identity / the app doesn't scan my ID or doesn't open the camera
We recommend that you:
- Check that the app (or the browser) has permission to use the camera.
- Take the photo in a well-lit place, with the ID on a flat surface and no glare.
- Close and reopen the app and try again.
If it still doesn't work, contact our support team and we will help you complete the verification.
How can I become a Gliker?
Thank you for wanting to be part of the community!
We are currently making important adjustments to the Gliker role and have temporarily paused the onboarding of new Glikers. If you want to be among the first to know when we open spots, join our official waiting list:
My details are wrong (ID issue date, date of birth, mobile number, email). How do I fix them?
Details in Glik: you can update them yourself from the app:
- Go to your "Perfil" (Profile).
- Select "Detalle" (Details).
- Edit and save your information.
Details in FinZi: FinZi (operated by Coopcentral) is an entity independent from Glik, so they handle the update directly. Write to them at SAC@coopcentral.com.co with your full name, email, ID number and the detail you want to update. You can also call their landline in Bogotá 601 743 1088 or the national line 01 8000 181 088. Their process can take up to 15 business days.
If you have trouble saving changes in Glik, contact support and we will help you.
I can't sign up / it says my details are not correct
Check these requirements and recommendations:
- You must be of legal age and hold a Colombian citizenship ID (cédula de ciudadanía). For now we cannot accept applications with a PPT or other foreigner IDs.
- If you want to request a peer-to-peer loan, you need an active FinZi account.
- Type your ID number without dots, commas or spaces.
- Use your main email and mobile number (the ones you use the most), as they make identity verification easier.
If your application was rejected by our security checks, this does not generate any negative report with credit bureaus. If you think you entered some data incorrectly, contact support authorizing the deletion of your current registration and you will be able to start the process from scratch.
Completing the registration allows us to evaluate you, but it does not mean you already have an approved limit; we will confirm whether it is viable to assign one.
I'm not receiving the verification code
Sometimes text messages are delayed or don't arrive because of the carrier network or phone filters. Try the following:
- Check that you have a good signal.
- Restart your phone, or turn airplane mode on and off for a few seconds.
- Check that you don't have a spam filter active in your messages inbox.
- Confirm that the registered number is correct.
If the code still doesn't arrive after this, contact support and our technical team will look into your case.
I already paid, but I still appear as past due or reported to credit bureaus
It depends on where you made the payment:
If you paid through Mercado Pago: validating the transaction can take us up to one business day. If after that time your loan still appears as past due, contact support and attach your payment receipt.
If you paid Findorse (peer-to-peer loans): the update is handled by Findorse, the entity in charge of that obligation and of its reporting to credit bureaus. The best thing to do is to contact them directly. If you notice any inconsistency, you can also contact our support and we will help you review it.
Keep in mind that the update at credit bureaus may take a while to show, because it depends on each bureau's update cycles.
I want to delete my account and my data
You can close your account directly from the Glik app, in the "Perfil" (Profile) section. If you prefer, you can also send a request to support.
Keep in mind that, if you have an active loan or an outstanding balance, all of your data must be kept while that obligation remains active.
